God in the Ordinary: Finding Him in Everyday Life
We often expect God to show up only in big, dramatic moments—but much of His presence is found in the ordinary.
Jesus spent most of His life in everyday rhythms: eating meals, walking roads, talking with people, noticing needs.
God is not only present in breakthroughs—He is present in breakfast, conversations, silence, and routine.
Luke 24 shows the disciples walking with Jesus after the resurrection without recognizing Him. He was with them before they realized it.
That still happens today.
God is present in:
a quiet moment of peace
a conversation that brings clarity
a strength you didn’t have yesterday
a small sense of hope returning
The more we slow down internally, the more we begin to notice Him externally.
Reflection:
Where might God already be present in your life that you’ve been too busy or overwhelmed to notice?
