Why Christians Shouldn’t Be Afraid of Counseling

Is Counseling Biblical? A Christian Perspective

Some Christians hesitate to seek counseling because they wonder if it reflects a lack of faith.

But counseling and faith are not enemies.

Throughout scripture we see the value of wisdom, guidance, and support from others. Proverbs repeatedly emphasizes the importance of seeking wise counsel.

Christian counseling integrates psychological understanding with biblical truth. It recognizes that God created both our spiritual and emotional lives.

Just as we seek medical help when our bodies are sick, counseling can help when our emotions, relationships, or thoughts need support.

Seeking help is not weakness.

Sometimes it is the first step toward healing.
